'Les Mis' is 40 - Come and celebrate with us!
It's hard to imagine that it's been 40 years since this extraordinary and exciting piece of musical theatre officially opened in London's West End on the 8th October 1985.
A record breaking show, with its gritty storyline of passion, revenge, poverty and hope, all set against a backdrop of the French revolution, Les Miserables is packed full of wonderful songs. Well known highlights include ‘At The End Of The Day’, ‘On My Own’, ‘I Dreamed A Dream’, ‘Do You Hear The People Sing?’ and ‘Bring Him Home’.
The day will be led by Pop-Up Choir leader and founder, Jane Bibb who keeps the sessions friendly and fun.
Join the Let's Sing Pop-Up Choir as we spend the day singing well known highlights from the show.
🟣 Open to all adults who simply love to sing.
🟣 All songs are taught and sung with simple but effective harmonies.
🟣 No previous choir experience or music reading skills required.
Pop-Up Choir days run from 10.30am - 4pm. There will be refreshment breaks and a break for lunch. Complimentary tea, coffee, juice and biscuits will be available throughout the day. Please feel free to bring a packed lunch.
